Listed below are the highlights of what we offer at Brewery 33 Hocking Hills.

Craft Beers

1. GATEWAY GOSE (pronounced “goes-uh”)

This beer is slightly sour with a hint of saltiness, a hint of coriander, some light banana esters, with a dry finish that is very refreshing and highly complex.

  • ABV: 5.5%
  • IBU: 8.6

2. ILES IPA

This IPA is similar to the East Coast IPAs that are getting more popular. This is a very hop centric beer, the cloudiness is due to the unfiltered nature and suspended hop goodness. We combine Citra and Golding hops and use a European style yeast for the malty flavors and the hops for the fruity notes that you taste in this refreshing IPA.

  • ABV: 6.4%
  • IBU: 64

3.WALSH IRISH ALE

To achieve a true Irish Ale with a beautiful reddish-copper color, we start with imported grains and add a combination of locally grown Zeus hops and imported hops. The slight bitterness of these hops offset some of the grains’ sweetness and give a light earthy/floral aroma, yet leaves no hop bitterness in the finish. This combination of grains, hops and ale yeast brings out the malty, caramel and toffee flavors up front with a medium to light body and a clean refreshing finish.

  • ABV: 5.25%
  • IBU: 19.5

4. SIDE SHOW SAISON

The beer was historically brewed as a safe source of liquid for Belgian farm workers during the hot summer (their Gator-Aid). It is pale in color with wheat grain flavor, citrus fruitiness, peppery with a slightly sour and dry finish.

  • ABV: 7.5%
  • IBU: 25.7

5. BLUE BLAZES BROWN ALE (in honor of the Buckeye Trail)

This medium body, malty brown ale has notes of caramel and nutty toasted grain flavors. It is slightly earthy, which comes from the Golding Hops used.

  • ABV: 4.5%
  • IBU: 26

6. KACHELMACHER KELLERBIER

A German Munich style pale lager Kellerbier (cellar beer) based on the Helles style. A young fresh lager beer that was stored in cellars and drank during the summer months. It has a malty, fully attenuated Pilsner malt showcase. The hop character is more pronounced using German Saaz and Tettnang hops. It is pleasantly grainy-sweet, with a clean malt aroma, creamy white head, low to moderate spicy, floral-herbed hop flavor with low hop bitterness that can linger with a crisp, clean dry finish. Over all it’s a light refreshing easy drinking golden lager that the Germans ‘drink by the liter’ while enjoying the hot summertime beer gardens. Prost to the Norwegian Count’, Nils Louis Christian Kachelmacher and all he has done for the Hocking Valley.

  • ABV: 5.25%
  • IBU: 26

9. ROCK HOUSE RED (maple amber)

This is an amber-colored red ale with caramel maltiness and locally sourced maple syrup that is aged with toasted oak that is grown right here in Hocking County. Raise a glass to the complex flavors of this tasty red ale with its truly unique flavors.

  • ABV: 6.2%
  • IBU: 30

10. FRUHSTUCK STOUT (pronounced Flooshtuck

This is our take on a Breakfast Stout. We modified our original Milkstout recipe to give it a more malty/coffee nose. You will experience a smooth creamy mouthfeel from the lactose that was added. At the finish you will note a dry, yet clean robust coffee flavor. We used 5lbs of Dirty Girl coffee roasted in nearby Glouster Ohio. It’s 5 a.m. somewhere, so start your day with Br3w3ry Fruhstuck Stout!!

  • ABV: 4.2%
  • IBU: 29

11. HOCKING HILLS HEFEWEIZEN

This is a Southern Germany style of wheat beer or Weis bier made with a 50/50 ratio of wheat and barley. This is a low hop bitter beer with a mild alcohol level. The “Hefe” prefix means “with yeast” and the “weizen” is “wheat” in German. Our version is made with 11 pounds of local honey and 2 pounds of sweet dried orange peel to give it a unique flavor that will refresh you from start to finish.

  • ABV: 4.5%
  • IBU: 11

12. EXPERIMENTAL BEER

Please see the back menu for details. Let us know your thoughts for future beers.

13. SHONK’S TONIC DOUBLE IPA (DIPA)

Shonk’s Tonic Double IPA is a smooth, yet strong hop centric Double India Pale Ale. It is an east coast style with bronzy orange color ale that provides a malty taste and floral, citrus or pine bitterness and aroma. It contains Cascade, Citra, Simcoe, Centennial and Columbus hops with additional dry hops for aroma.

  • ABV: 8.0%
  • IBU: 84

13. SNOW BIRDS PALE ALE

This is our first collaboration. We invited Aaron Jerrell, co-owner of Debine Brewery in Palm Harbor, Florida, who is originally from Logan Ohio. He brought 2 cases of fresh Florida oranges with him and we zested the oranges, processed the remaining fruit and combined 6 pounds of zest with 3 pounds of Citra and Cascade hops. We then dry hopped it with 5 more pounds of the same hops and 2 more pounds of orange zest. This Pale Ale will have a mid-high hop aroma with some hop haze and a copper color appearance. This gave us a nice orange, citrus and hoppy zing to the senses that should satisfy the hop heads heading back to Ohio from a long warm winter in Florida.

  • ABV: 6.9%
  • IBU: 40

14. WORTHINGTON PARK PORTER

Our Porter is a chocolate, coconut, vanilla Porter. We hand-toast the coconut and use cocoa nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans. We hope you enjoy our newest dark ale that has a creamy beige head and a smooth finish with lots of complex flavors from the coconut aroma and chocolate finish. We raise a toast to Governor Worthington for founding Logan in 1816 and its beautiful downtown veterans park.

  • ABV: 5.4%
  • IBU: 32
